In my last post I mentioned an experiment with magnesium gel that I’ve undertaken. I’ve been applying it to my scalp for a few days – one day on, one day off. I leave it in place for about an hour and then rinse it out.

So far, my scalp is clear of both dandruff and those nastier “crusty bits” I mentioned before.

The experiment is ongoing. I’ll keep you posted. So far, so good.

On a personal note, I thought I’d try an experiment. For some time, my scalp has not been particularly “healthy”. I’ve either had what appears to be dandruff, or sometimes sore-like emissions from my scalp (I know, charming isn’t it).

Well, I thought I’d try magnesium chloride gel as a remedy. I applied some to my scalp, left it there for an hour, and rinsed it off.

Over the following few days, my scalp appears to be clear! I’m not saying that this will work for everybody – and I am monitoring the resulkts on an ongoig basis – still applying the magnesium chloride gel periodically.

Note: Sometimes, magnesium chloride can feel a little sore when applied. If this you cannot tolerate this, simply apply some water to dilute the effect.

Carolyn Dean, the author of the best selling book “The Magnesium Miracle” received the following:

A client sent me one of the best “Top Ten Lists” of symptoms relieved by magnesium I’ve ever seen. After three months on magnesium my client experienced:

Less knee pain.

Carbohydrate/sugar cravings down from 90 to 5 — on a scale of 100 (most) to 0 (none)

Wrinkles and crevices in her face diminishing

Dramatic reduction in “migraines”

Period went from dark to bright red and from severe clots to minimal clots

Able to exercise intensely for the first time in years without being exhausted for at least three days after

Sleep has improved from “minimal” to “poor and restless” all night (this is a huge improvement for her).

Able to “keep going” (to some extent) past 6:30pm at night.

Less sound sensitivity/hypersensitivity.

Better able to concentrate when someone is speaking to her (if there is any background noise).

Just about everything your body does for proper functioning uses magnesium. This ranges from the use of calcium for your heart, bones and healthy teeth, to your ability to digest and absorb nutrients. Somehow this vital nutrient has been overlooked.

Our diets do not give us a sufficient amount of magnesium, and its agreed upon by the medical community that about 75 percent of us are deficient in magnesium. Even if we increased our intake of magnesium rich foods we may not be able to absorb enough because of the harm done to our digestive tract by that deficiency.

How do we deal with this deficiency of magnesium? One way is through the health of our skin. Dry skin can indicate a magnesium deficiency. You can improve the condition of your skin as well as bring more of this vital electrolyte into the body through application on the skin of a transdermal magnesium oil or gel.
